Funeral services for Ms. Glinda Fay Hardy will be held at 1 PM Monday, September 7, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with interment in Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4 PM – 8 PM Sunday, September 6, 2026, at John E. Stephens Chapel. Visitation will also be held 11 AM – 1 PM Monday, September 7, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Ms. Glinda “Fay” Robison Hardy passed away Friday, September 4, 2026 at her home in the House community. She was born and raised in Linn, Mississippi (Sunflower County). She was a member of the last graduating class at Linn High School. Later she attended Delta State University Teacher College where she met her husband Reverend David Ray “Sonny” Hardy. They later moved to Neshoba County and lived an enjoyable life of 49 years together. She was a retired math teacher of 49 years in the counties of Webster, Neshoba, Kemper and Newton along with a few years with the tribal schools. She loved teaching all those years and every student that crossed her path. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings and all her precious grands and great-grands. She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church and in her latter years attended Crossroads Baptist Church. Ms. Fay was proceeded in death by her husband Rev. David Ray “Sonny” Hardy; parents, Clinton Ledell and Georgia “Jackie” Robison; brother Jackie “Bud” Robison; sisters, Linda “Punk” Davenport, Gladys “Ginnie” Coker and Lois “Elaine” Langston Survivors include daughter Renee Mowdy (Chris) of Union; sons, David Ray Hardy II of Union and Andrew Hardy (Lauren) of Tupelo; sisters, Nettie (Michael) Lindsey of Coldwater, Mississippi, Rachell Robison of Jackson, Mississippi, Kathy (Terrence) Ellzey of Greenville, South Carolina; brothers, Early Gene “Bo” (Cathy) Hodges of Walls, Mississippi and George Robison of Batesville, Mississippi; (3) granddaughters, Abi Adkins (Lane) of Union, Mary Kate Jones (Carter) of Houma, Louisiana and Hannah Mowdy of Cleveland, Mississippi; (3) great-grandchildren, Marleigh Wrae and Annlinn Charles Adkins and Cohen Boone Jones; several nieces and nephews Pallbearers: Gerald Spears, Luke McGee, Justin Proctor, Matt Brown, Allen Joiner and Byars Cliburn
