MR. DONAVON BLAINE BELL

Funeral services for Mr. Donavon Blaine Bell will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Bogue Chitto Gym with Bro. Leonard Jimmie officiating. Interment will be in Mingo Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Aunt Sally Tubby’s residence, 129 Bates Lane. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bell, 40, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital in Germantown, TN. He was a member of Bogue Chitto Hunting Club and a chanter for Bogue Chitto Dance Club. Donavon had many interests and hobbies. First and foremost was his bible and his love for God. He took his bible everywhere he went and would read it constantly. He would ask us questions and have us read passages from it. Donavon loved to talk about his grandfather, Lloyd Clemons, he would tell us stories about him, that he was a Godly man; he wanted to be just like him. Donavon liked to hunt and fish with his friends. Sometimes he would take one of the girls with him just to see the excitement on their faces. They loved spending time with their dad! Donavon loved his family very much! He was a proud father to his “Girls” Camri, Chardonnae, Marlie, NitaOsi. He taught them to have respect for others and be the best that they can be. He wanted them to have the love for God that he had. Donavon loved his parents, Frankie and Verna, his sister, Wydinca. His companion for 7 years, Summer Rains. Donavon loved to play stickball, his lucky number was 40. He also enjoyed playing softball and hanging out with his friends. He was an amazing person!! He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd Clemons and Nancy Ruth Mingo Clemons; aunts, Barbara Clemons and Pollyanna Clemons Hickman. Survivors include his parents, Frankie Clemons and Verna Bell; daughters, Camri Bell, Chardonnae Bell, Marlena Rains, NitaOsi Rains; Significant other, Summer Rains; sister, Wydinca Bell; nephews, Cayden Gibson, Chebon Gibson and Corakko Gibson; aunt, Sally Tubby; special buddy, Yazstin Ben; great-aunt, Mary Jane Branning. Pallbearers are Lijah Tubby, Seth Lewis, Cayden Gibson, Chebon Gibson, Jeremy Hickman, Yopalakiyo Soloman, Leighton Henry, Brandon Tubby. Honorary pallbearers are Tushkahoma Tubby, Nathan Tubby, Rodger Mayfield, Lance Gibson.
