Funeral service for Mr. Ricky Lee Denson, Sr. will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Solomon, Jr. and Deacon Shaunde Ahshapanek officiating. Interment will be in the Standing Pine Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 PM Monday, April 25, 2022 at 106 Tiak Osi Cove Road. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Denson, 61, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at his daughter's home. He enjoyed watching wrestling, watching grandkids play sports, playing bingo and washer throwing. He is preceded in death by his parents, Easlin Denson and Lucille Lewis Chickaway; brother, Jerry Lee Denson; grandson, David Lee Denson, Jr. and great-grandson, Ja’Mari Lee Denson. Survivors include his wife, Mary Helen Sockey Denson, of Walnut Grove, MS; sons, David Lee Denson, Sr. of Conehatta, MS, Emery Lee Denson of Carthage, MS, Ricky Lee Denson, Jr. of Walnut Grove, MS; daughters, Julie Ann Denson of Walnut Grove, MS, Marie Ann Denson of Walnut Grove, MS, Lucina Denson Vargas of Philadelphia, MS, Beaudie Nicole Denson of Walnut Grove, MS; brother, Ryan K. Chickaway of Philadelphia, MS; sisters, Charlene Denson Sam of Carthage, MS, Glenda Denson Bell of Philadelphia, MS, Loriann Denson Ahshapanek of Carthage, MS, Irene Willis Tubby of Carthage, MS; 37 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are James E. Denson, Corey D. Sam, Dustin K.
