GRAVESIDE SERVICE FOR: MS. PEGGY JOE FANNING GAY WILL BE HELD: 3 PM TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2020 AT: BLOOMFIELD CEMETERY NO VISITATION; Graveside service for Ms. Peggy Joe Fanning Gay will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Bloomfield Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Bishop officiating. There will be no visitation. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge. Ms. Gay, 83, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She lived in Neshoba County most of her life. She worked at WalMart for 17 years in the garden center, doing what she loved, tending to flowers. Ms. Gay was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Preceded in death: Father, Fred Brantley; Husbands, John Shelby Fanning and James Franklin Gay; Son, John Daniel (Danny) Fanning; Grandson, John Robert Burnham; Stepson, Jim Gay; Brother, Charlie Edward Brantley. Survivors: Daughter, Peggy Fortenberry of Philadelphia; Son, Shelby Dale Fanning (Christi) of Philadelphia; Sister, Jean Snuggs of Carthage; (3) Grandchildren, Shellye Talbert, Christopher Burnham and John Daniel Fanning Jr.; (6) Great-Grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews.
