GRAVESIDE SERVICES FOR: MR. NORMAN CUMBERLAND WILL BE HELD: 4 PM WEDNESDAY, JULY 1, 2020 AT: SANDTOWN CEMETERY NO VISITATION; Graveside service for Mr. Norman H. Cumberland will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Sandtown Cemetery with Rev. Bennie Alford officiating. There will be no visitation. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge. Mr. Cumberland, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at his residence where he has lived all of his life. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired from U.S. Electrical Motors after 31 years. His hobbies include hunting, farming, raising cattle and baseball. He was a member of Christian Life Apostolic Church. Mr. Cumberland was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Emma Stovall Cumberland; Wife, Avanell Cumberland; Son, Stanley Lynn Cumberland; Sisters, Audie Dubard, Avie Poe and Elvie Burton; Brothers, Clifton Cumberland and Hubert Cumberland. Survivors: Daughter, Jean Cumberland of Philadelphia; Sons, Randy Joe Cumberland of GA, Scottie Dean Cumberland (Kay), Marty Glenn Cumberland and Robin Cumberland (Ginger) all of Philadelphia; (11) Grandchildren; (16) Great-Grandchildren; (1) Great-Great-Grandchild; Several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Trent Cumberland, Chad Cumberland, Eric Cumberland, Colby Tubby, Adam Bryan and John Crapps.
