LORENE BURGESS WILL BE HELD: 3 PM FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 2022 AT: CHERRY CHAPEL CHURCH INTERMENT: HARPERVILLE CEMETERY VISITATION: 3 PM THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 3, 2022 AT: CHERRY CHAPEL CHURCH; Funeral service for Ms. Lorene Burgess will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 4, 2022 at Cherry Chapel Church with Rev. Robert Garcia and Rev. Robert Sharp officiating. Interment in Harperville Cemetery in Scott County, MS. Visitation will begin at 3:00 PM Thursday at Cherry Chapel Church. John E. Stephens Chapel in charge of arrangements. Ms. Burgess, 84, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at Scott Regional Hospital in Morton, MS. She lived in Scott and Neshoba Counties most of her life. She was a poultry worker and worked for B. C. Rogers Processing for 30 years. She loved reading, watching soap operas and crime shows. Ms. Burgess was a member of Cherry Chapel United Pentecostal Church. Preceded in death: Parents, Buford Louis Chappell Sr. and Beulah Beatrice Rawson Chappell; Husbands, James Calvin Hynes, Joseph Howard Waggoner and Joseph Grady Burgess; Son, James Louis Hynes; Sisters, Mildred Rigdon, Norma Lloyd; Brothers, Buford Louis Chappell Jr.,Ray Chappell, Bartley Chappell and Lamar Chappell. Survivors: Daughter, Wanda Sullivan (Tommy) of Philadelphia; Son, Kenny Waggoner of Philadelphia; Sisters, Ann Billiot of LA and Jean Hayes of Collinsville; Brothers, Jack Chappell of Ocean Springs, Grover Chappell of LA and Doug Chappell of LA; (5) Grandchildren, Candace Merritt (Jerry), Chasity Bozeman (Randel), Loren Waggoner, Landon Waggoner and Dusty Waggoner.
