Funeral services for Ms. Karen Lynn Snow Woods will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 4, 2023 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Bobby Carter officiating. Interment in Snow Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Monday, September 4th at John E. Stephens Chapel. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Karen Lynn Snow Woods, 40, born November 11, 1982. “KK” as all her nieces, nephews, friends and family referred to her as, passed away at her sister’s home on Friday, September 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family and friends. To know Karen “KK” was to love her. She was always a light in a dark world. She loved her family and friends fiercely and if KK was in your corner, you knew you were going to be alright. Karen grew up in the Stallo Community and graduated high school at Noxapater High School. She was employed with MS Animal Rescue League in Jackson, MS. Everyone always joked saying she loved animals more than people. Karen was involved in several cases with MARL in which she rescued hundred of animals, which if you knew KK this was not a surprise, her heart was just that big. When she passed one of her rescue dogs were by her side, her precious Mabis, which will be lost without her. She is survived by her parents, Danny (Mel) Snow and Donna Vowell, her grandparents, Joe and Arlene Barrett, her children, Dalton Woods, Kaylee Rae Woods and Jada Woods and her honorary children, Kadee Mayo, Tony Clark and Antoine Gillard. Her sister, Dana (Steve) Parker, her brother, William (Sam) Snow, her nieces, Sara (James) Parker, Raleigh Grace Parker, Madelyn Parker, Paisley Snow, Kylie Snow, Charleigh Nabors, Callista Woods and Emmie Gaillard, her nephews, Austin (Jamie) Snow, Macon Parker, Nathan Gaillard, Davis Gaillard, Braxton Nabors and Landon Woods and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends. She is also survived by her precious animals, Mabis, Corey, Nyla, Oliver and Judy. Karen was preceded in death by her best friend, Dalanna Parker; grandparents, Paul and Wilma Snow and Neita Parker and Elsie Clark. Pallbearers are Dalton Woods, Steve Parker, Tony Clark, Antoine Gillard, Austin Snow, Landon Woods, Chad Stone and Nathan Gaillard.
