FUNERAL SERVICE FOR: MR. JAMES WILLIAM "BILL" YATES WILL BE HELD: 2 PM SUNDAY, JANUARY 30, 2022 AT: JOHN E. STEPHENS CHAPEL INTERMENT: CEDAR LAWN CEMETERY VISITATION: 4-7 PM SATURDAY, JANUARY 29, 2022 AT: JOHN E. STEPHENS CHAPEL; Funeral service for Mr. James William “Bill” Yates will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2022 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Dr. Tommy Jennings and Pat Fiedler officiating. Interment in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. Visitation 4-7 pm Saturday, January 29th at John E. Stephens Chapel. Mr. Yates, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was born and lived in Neshoba County, moving to Jackson, then Texas and back to Philadelphia where he retired. He worked for Allstate Insurance over 30 years and was a computer analyst. Fishing, hunting and basketball was his favorite hobbies. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Preceded in death: Parents, Hugh Aaron Yates and RosaLee Luke Yates; Wife, Patricia Yates; Sisters, Kathleen Mitchell and Becky Yates. Survivors: Daughters, Kim Price (Cecil) of Philadelphia and Courtney Klootwyk (Chris) of Philadelphia; Sister, Janette Williamson of Philadelphia; Brother, Lynn Yates (Brenda) of Philadelphia; (4) Grandchildren, Bass Price (Virginia), Cecily Kate Waltman (Lane), Jalen Klootwyk and Savanna Klootwyk. Pallbearers: Bob Preister, Joe Nowell, Virgil Luke, Greg Moulder, Keith Yates, Lavern Green. Honorary pallbearers: Robert Phillips, Sam Nowell, Claude Yates, James Luke and The Squirrel Camp Members.
