Funeral service for Mr. James O. Copeland will be held 3 PM Friday, January 28, 2022, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Tim Vowell and Rev. John E. Stephens officiating. Interment will be in North Bend Methodist Cemetery. Visitation will be 12-3 PM Friday, January 28, 2022, at John E. Stephens Chapel. Mr. Copeland, 101, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at his home in Neshoba Co. where he lived most of his life. He was a carpenter and also in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church. His hobbies were cows and horses. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Copeland; parents, Henry Ethel Copeland and Myrtle Viola Williams Copeland; son, Truitt “Nubbin” Copeland; sisters, Sarah Johnson Gray, Connie McGhee; brothers, Willie and Wesley Copeland; daughters-in-law, June Copeland, Patricia Copeland; son-in-law, Clint Smith; grandchildren, Regina Copeland, Kevin Smith. Survivors include daughters, Martha Smith, Linda Moody (Parker), Dollie Clay (Randy), Darlene Myers (Larry); sons, Jimmy Copeland (Billie Faye), Donald Copeland; brother, Ethel Copeland; daughter-in-law Faye Copeland; (2) sisters-in-law; (13) grandchildren; (32) great-grandchildren; (24) great-great- grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
