Funeral service for Mr. Gerald Shumake will be held 2 PM Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Patrick officiating. Interment will be in Conehatta Community Cemetery. Visitation will begin 10 AM Friday, January 28, 2022, at Macedonia Baptist Church. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Shumake, 61, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian, MS. His hobbies included playing cards, dominos and spending time with family, watching old movies. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hubert Shumake and Cleddie Mae Gibson; daughters, Wilamina Shumake, Veronica S. Dixon; son, Jeronamo Shumake; sistsers Ronie Tubby, Fronie Tubby; brother, James Monroe Shoemake. Survivors: wife, Minnie Jefferson Shumake; son, Eric Hickman; brothers, Hilbert Shumake, Veron Shumake; 3 grandchildren. Pallbearers: Leran Jefferson, Sr., Vince Smith, Dewayne Thomas, Marcus Jimmie, John Willis, John Thomas, Leran Jefferson, Jr., Gregory Shumake.
