MR. ODELL FRAZIER SR

Funeral services for Mr. Odell Frazier, Sr. will be held at 10 AM Thursday, April 27, 2023 at Bogue Chitto Gym with Rev. Doby Henry officiating. Burial will be in Fuston Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Bogue Chitto Gym. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge. Odell Frazier, Sr. a long time resident of the Redwater Community in Carthage, MS was born January 29, 1947 to parents, Frazier Frazier and Bessie Jim. He passed away at his home on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Odell was born and lived in Bogue Chitto until he was 16, when he left to go to school in Oklahoma. At the age of 17, he moved to Chicago, IL where he worked on transmissions for 10 years. When he moved back to Mississippi continuing his work with transmission for another 20 years. Making Redwater Community his home in 1973, while driving a truck for 20 years and retired. After staying home for 13 months, he decided he wanted to go back to work and started working at Pearl River Resort as a custodian for 10 years when he decided to fully retire in 2020. He's preceded in death by his grandma, Lela Vaughn Bell; parents, Frazier and Linnie Frazier, Bessie and Odie Jim; sisters, Maggie Frazier, Jill Robinson, Eva Frazier, Valerie Frazier, Susan Frazier, Gloria McMillian, Norma Jean Robinson and Betty Waltman; brothers, Andy Frazier, David Frazier, Sr., Eugene Frazier and Dan Frazier; granddaughters, August Jenice LeAnn Price and Autumn Jerisa Mae Price; niece, Maureen Stoliby; nephews, Antonio "Tone" Hernandez, Charles "Chuckie" Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Deborah Frazier of Carthage, MS; daughter, Denise "The Girl" Price of El Paso, TX; sons, Vernon Frazier, Odell "Joe" Frazier, Jr., Braxton Frazier, all of Carthage, MS, Joe A. Price, Jr. of Memphis, TN; sisters, Mary Samuel, Janet Chickaway and Jane Mae Tubby, all of Philadelphia, MS, Emma Sam of Carthage, MS, Brenda Harrison of Muscle Shoals, AL; brothers, Roy Jim, Randy Jim and Glendale Willis, all of Philadelphia, MS, Riley Jim of Albuquerque, NM; special family, Edmond Sam, Sr., Patricia Kopaddy, Caregiver, Maisie Fortenberry; 21 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
