Funeral services for Ms. Jeannette Lundy Griffin will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church Collinsville with interment in Collinsville Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 PM – 2 PM Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at First Baptist Church Collinsville. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Jeannette Lundy Griffin was born on November 29, 1931, in Neshoba County, Mississippi, to Hugh Milton and Battie Bounds Lundy. Ms. Griffin passed away in Neshoba General Nursing Home on August 17, 2025. She grew up in the Bloomo Community and graduated from Bloomo High School. After graduating high school Jeanette attended St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Meridian. She worked as a nurse at Neshoba General Hospital in Philadelphia, as well as hospitals in Meridian, Jackson and New Orleans as well as in many clinics. She loved caring for others.. Many nurses have credited her with teaching them everything they know about nursing. Jeanette made her home in Collinsville and was a member of First Baptist Church in Collinsville, Mississippi. She was a fabulous cook and loved to garden and fish, as well as taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jeannette (known as Mamaw to her family) is survived by daughters: Terri Thomas Robbins (Philip), Kathy Thomas McKay (Ricky), one son: Stephen Ray Thomas; Grandchildren: Nikki Crawford Hudnall(Matt), Carla Crawford Adams, Brad Crawford (Krista), Mandy McKay Buffington (Lee), Misty Murray Holland (Jason), Maggie Thomas Eubanks (Nick); Step Grandchildren: Rebecca Robbins(Mike), Caroline R. Watkins(Patrick), Great grandchildren: Will Baucum (Ivy), Caroline Hudnall, Lundy Adams Glover (Ben), Ella Jayne Adams, Michael Lee Buffington, Ill, Camryn Crawford, Avery Kate Holland; Step grandchildren Aubrey Everett, Aidan Everette, Mallory, Chase, Rafe & Asher Eubanks, Michael Rivenbark, Ryan Watkins; great great grandchild: Georgia Raye Baucum, step great great grandchild: Micah Norris, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh Milton and Battie Elizabeth Bounds Lundy; daughter, Kim Thomas Murray; her brothers, Mitchell Lundy, Milford Lundy; her sisters: Hester Lundy Smith, Frankie Lundy Chisolm, and HughLynn Lundy Luke, and great grandson: Parker Thomas Holland.
