Funeral services for Mr. Grady Michael Spencer will be held at 10 AM Thursday, October 31, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Justin Craft officiating. Interment will be in East Lawn City Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 PM – 8 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at John E. Stephens Chapel. Grady Michael Spencer, born November 17, 1952, to Grady and Bonnie Spencer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters on October 28, 2024. He was 71 years old. A graduate of Eupora High School in 1970, Grady embarked on a lifelong journey marked by love, dedication, and hard work. On August 4, 1972, he married the love of his life, Martha Alderman Spencer, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Grady built a successful career in sales, working with well-known companies such as TG&Y, Pepsi, Sunbeam, and Dolly Madison. However, he was best known as a Little Debbie Distributor, a role that brought him immense joy and allowed both of his daughters to spend cherished summers by his side. In 1998, Grady transitioned to a career as an owner-operator truck driver, a role he embraced until his retirement in 2013. After retirement, he proudly took on the title of "PawPaw driver," cherishing the time spent with his grandchildren. Grady had a passion for fishing and was a devoted fan of Mississippi State sports. Above all, he loved spending time with his family, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Bonnie Spencer; his sisters, Martha Lee Spencer and Rhonda Jean Spencer; his brother, Johnny Spencer; and his granddaughter, Carleigh Rea. Grady is survived by his wife, Martha Alderman Spencer; daughters Brandy Rea and her husband Richie Rea, and Marianne Yarbrough and her husband Jason Yarbrough; grandchildren Meagan Rea Suggs and her husband Austin Suggs, Brendan Rea, Spencer Rea, Caleb Yarbrough, Jaseleigh Yarbrough, and Sophia Yarbrough; great granddaughter Andie Kate Suggs; and one sister, Sarah Campbell. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and honorary sons and daughters. Grady Michael Spencer will be remembered for his unwavering love, infectious spirit, and the countless lives he touched. His legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to inspire those who knew him.
